This course by Dr Jessica Stone is comprised of 7 webinars and accompanying handouts. 

Jessica Stone, Ph.D., RPT-S, is a licensed psychologist working in a private practice setting. She has been a practitioner, professor, presenter, mentor, and author for more than 30 years. Dr. Stone’s interest in therapeutic digital tools, specifically using virtual reality, tablets, and consoles and AI, has culminated in clinical mental health use and research for mental health, medical, and crisis settings. She is the co-creator of the Virtual Sandtray App for iPad (VSA) and the Virtual Sandtray for Virtual Reality (VSA-VR). Dr. Stone is the past Chief Psychology Officer for AscendantVR, is a member of various boards, and serves as an affiliate of the East Carolina University College of Education Neurocognition Science Laboratory.


The intensive blended learning course explores the unique developmental tasks, mental health challenges, and therapeutic needs of emerging adults, commonly seen as spanning the years between 18 and mid- to late-20’s. It is designed for therapists wocurrently working with adults or with adolescents.  

Participants will develop expertise in trauma-informed and neurodivergent-sensitive approaches, creative methodologies, and short-term therapeutic interventions. Through a combination of in-person and online learning, including case presentations, peer supervision, and small group supervision, participants will engage with experiential learning, practical casework, and cutting-edge research. We will integrate theory with practice, drawing on neuroscience, attachment theory, creative and expressive arts therapy to offer a holistic approach to supporting emerging adults.

This exciting training programme, utilises two core models to address and resolve trauma.  As this is a practitioner award, engagement in 20 clinical practice sessions, and 5 supervision sessions, are required. This supervision is included in the course.

 1) Multi-Sensory Trauma Processing Model (MTP)

2) Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy


The Principles of Art Therapy Certificate (formerly Art Therapy Certificate Foundation Course) is a QQI level 8 (10 credit course) comprising of two 5 credit assessed subjects.

This exciting, one-year, Diploma course delves deeply into the world of projective play and the use of symbols as therapeutic agents with psychotherapy and counselling clients. It incorporatesexperiential sessions utilising sandtray therapy, spectrograms, and the use of symbols.
